PREFACE
「The 50th Suwon’
s Statistical Yearbook」
Suwon has published the 50th Suwon's statistical yearbook in order to
actively cope with the waves of change and hope that current society
demands.
Based on more reliable and diverse statistics of this yearbook, I would like
to create "Human City, Suwon," where citizens and visitors are all welcome,
by providing more responsible, trustworthy municipal administration.
This comprehensive yearbook consists of a total of 290 specific items in 20
categories including population, economy, environment, welfare, education,
culture, etc.
I hope this yearbook would be very useful to give active responses to a
rapidly changing economic and social environment and well manage
citizens' valuable properties for their future. I also hope to see the best use
of the yearbook not only for Suwon citizens but for public officers,
academia, research institutes, and all related people.
Lastly, I would like to thank those who actively supported us for publishing
the 50th statistical yearbook.
